ingredients:
1 boneless whole pork loin roast (3 - 4 pounds)
2/3 cup grated parmesan cheese
1/2 cup honey
3 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons dried basil
2 tablespoon minced garlic
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoon cornstarch
1/2 cup cold water
steps:
1. cut roast in half. transfer to a 3-quart slow cooker. in a small bowl, combine the cheese, honey, soy sauce, basil, garlic, oil and salt. pour over pork. cover and cook on low for 5 1/2 - 6 hours or until thermometer reads 160 degrees.
2. remove meat to a serving platter and keep warm. skim the fat from the cooking juices and transfer to a small saucepan. bring liquid to a boil. combine cornstarch and water until smooth. gradually stir into pan. bring to a boil, cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. slice roast and serve with gravy.

jambalaya

ingredients:
1 28-ounce can diced tomatoes undrained
1 medium onion - chopped
1 medium red bell pepper - chopped
2 tablespoons minced garlic
2 teaspoons dried parsley flakes
2 teaspoons dried oregano
1 teaspoon hot pepper sauce (hot sauce)
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
2 pounds cooked large shrimp
2 cups uncooked instant rice
2 cups chicken broth
steps:
1. combine tomatoes with juice, onion, bell pepper, garlic, parsley, oregano, hot sauce and thyme in slow cooker. cover cook on low 8 hours.
2. stir in shrimp cover; cook on low 20 mins.
3. meanwhile, prepare rice substituting broth for water. serve jambalaya over hot cooked rice.

philly cheesesteaks

2 tablespoons butter or margarine melted
4 onions - sliced
2 red peppers sliced
1 tablespoon garlic-pepper blend
salt to taste
1/2 cup water
2 teaspoons beef bouillon granules
8 crusty italian or french rolls
8 slices cheddar cheese (or any type)
steps:
1. combine steak, butter, onions, bell peppers, garlic-pepper blend and salt in 4 1/2 quarrt slow cooker, stir to mix.
2. whisk together water and bouillon in small bowl; pour into slow cooker, cover; cook on low 6-8 hours.
3. remove meat, onions and bell peppers from cooker and pile on rolls, top beef with cheese and place under broiler until cheese is melted.

1/4 cup brown sugar
3 tablespoons liquid smoke
1/2 teaspoon pepper
2 cloves minced fresh garlic
1 medium onion - sliced
1/2 cup cola
1 1/2 cup bbq sauce
steps:
1. mix brown sugar, liquid smoke, garlic, pepper, and salt. rub into ribs.
2. layer rips alternately with onions into crock pot. pour cola over ribs. cover and cook on low for 8 - 9 hours.
3. remove ribs and onion remnants and discard liquid. dip ribs into bbq sauce and put back into crock pot. pour remaining bbq sauce over ribs. cover and cook on low for 1 hour.

1. put the au ju into the crock pot and make as directed adding an additional cup of water. slice the onion and add to au ju.
2. place the roast into the juice and cook on low all day or on high for 4 hours.
3. slice meat. place on prepared hogie buns. use au ju for dipping and serve.
