singapore chili prawns

ingredients:
1 tablespoon peanut oil
1 pound shrimp - shelled and deveined
1 tablespoon chopped garlic
1 tablespoon grated ginger
1/4 cup chopped shallots
2 chilies - seeded and chopped
1/2 cup water
4 tablespoons tomato sauce
3 tablespoons sweet chilli sauce
juice from 1/2 lime
2 teaspoons sugar
1 teaspoon corn starch
1 egg - lightly beaten

steps:
1.  heat oil in a pan.  add the garlic, ginger, shallots, and chilies and saute until fragrant, about 1 minute.  add the shrimp and saute for a minute on both sides.

2.  add the water, tomato sauce, sweet chili sauce, lime juice, sugar and cornstarch and bring to a boil.

3.  stir in the egg and continue stirring until egg is cooked.
